Welcome to the fall 2023 session of ORI101 Orientation to College. I am your instructor, Sharon Watts, and here is my contact information:

This course is an online course, which means that I will deliver all the course content online in Canvas, and you will complete all course work online in Canvas. We will have a scheduled orientation session on Friday, August 18, from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. To join the virtual orientation session, click on the link below at the scheduled time. Note that the virtual orientation session will be recorded for you to view later if you are unable to join. 

To get started in the course before the virtual orientation session, you should click the button below to go to the "WEEK ONE TASKS - START HERE" module on the Modules page. There, immediately you should review the course syllabus and complete the "Syllabus Receipt Discussion" by the specified deadline to avoid being reported as a no show and being removed from the course. If you have any questions, please look on the left side of the screen for the "Inbox" icon and click there to send me a direct message through the Canvas inbox.
